Tilly & The Wall

Till & The Wall- Team Love Records

One of my favorite things on iTunes, is the shuffle button. I went from Ben Folds' Landed, to Thursday's Tomorrow I'll Be You which went right into Tilly & The Wall's Fell Down the Stairs. I quickly turned off shuffle, and listened to their Wild Like Children album. An album released in June 2004 through Team Love Records.

This album has it all, and it's funny how much you can really appreciate an album if you haven't listened to it in a while.

This indie/folk/pop band is from Omaha, Nebraska and some of the members have even worked with Conor Oberst and Rilo Kiley.

Wild Like Children, has a very soulful sound, but has this amazing way to lift you up with the music. Tilly & The Wall has a tap dancer, Jamie Pressnal, as their percussionist which might be able to explain the rhythms and emotion put into their songs. But without each of the individual performers, Tilly would be incomplete. Each of the five members contribute to more than anyone could imagine.

*Jamie Pressnal--tap dancer/percussionist
*Kianna Alarid--vocals
*Nick Whitekey--keyboards
*Neely Jenkins--vocals
*Derek Pressnal--guitar/vocals

Tilly & The Wall has released their newest album in June 2008, but it does not have a name. There uniqueness continues since the album is simply represented by the shape of an o because of the album cover which showcases many artwork from various artists inside.

Random Fact!
The band has actually been on Sesame Street where they performed their verison of the ABC's.
